About Us

The Hamburg Democratic Committee (HDC) consists of two representatives from each voting district within the Town of Hamburg. Members serve a two-year term and are required to gather petition signatures to represent Democrats in their district. The HDC's duties include nominating and endorsing Democratic candidates for local government roles, collecting petition signatures for candidates, attending events and fundraisers, recruiting new members, community outreach and engagement, and offering necessary support. Additionally, the committee elects seven officers every two years, alongside the Committee Chair.
